For thousands of years, expert carvers in the mountains have transformed gnarled stumps of fir trees into exquisite works of art such as this gorgeous Root Bowl. These stumps are left by logging operations, and their removal allows faster re-growth of newly planted seedlings.

Each unique bowl is finished with a food-safe lacquer that protects and magnifies the natural beauty of the wood. Use as a centerpiece, basket or for serving dry foods. Not recommended for hot food or liquids given the natural fissures and knotholes that may allow leakage.

Care: Treat occasionally with light wax or mineral oil to brighten the luster.
