Will these work indoors if set up by a window?
Answer:
Yes, you can hang the lights inside. There is some filtration through windows in regards to solar recharging. We have found that if the solar panel is in the window, getting direct sunlight, it will recharge. The only catch there is that it does have a light sensor built in, so it won’t glow until you turn the lights off. We’ve had customers report success with hanging the lights inside.

I'm thinking about getting these lights to string along a banister on my condo's 7th floor rooftop, but it can get quite windy up there, so I'm a bit worried about the durability of the glass. Can you give me an idea about how delicate they are?
Answer:
Though these lights are hand blown glass, they are relatively substantial (thicker than a wine glass, for instance). Since they’re made to be outside, they are quite durable. Another thing you might consider is stringing them somewhat tightly, rather than having them dangling very loosely so they could be caught by the wind. They would look lovely along a rooftop banister!

like one of the other questions, I want to use these indoors and am wondering if there is a way to manually turn them off.
Answer:
You can use the Aurora Glow String Lights indoors, too. You will need to ensure that the solar panel is placed in a sunny location to power the lights. When using indoors, the lights will naturally come on when your indoor lights are turned off or dimmed and go off when your indoor lights are on. You are able to turn off the Aurora Glow String Lights, as there is an on/off switch on the panel.
