Questions & Answers

Ask a Question

Question:

What is the coating on this platter? Is it safe for all foods? How do you clean it after use? Thanks

Answer:

The mango wood does not have any finish on it. It is hand-carved, and then cured in a kiln for over 30 days, making it food safe. We recommend avoiding acid (vinegar, tomato sauce, etc.) as with any wood, because it can cause discoloration. To clean, you can simply wash with gentle soap and water – do not immerse in water.
