CBF Watershed Ride

About the CBF Watershed Ride

Bambeco is proud to support two “Friends of bambeco,” Dr. Beth McGee and John Rodenhausen, on their monumental journey to educate, fundraise and create awareness of issues that impact the Chesapeake Bay, by biking 1300 miles in 20 days in 6 states.

Beth and John’s ride will start on Saturday July 30th, and end on Thursday August 18th, and they will cover anywhere from 40 to 90 miles per day. Their journey will take them along the Bay and its watershed (the areas where water runoff from rivers, streams and neighborhoods feeds the Chesapeake Bay), which runs through Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New York, and Washington D.C.

Beth and John, who have been at the Chesepeake Bay Foundation for the past 8 years, have lofty fundraising goals to go with their objectives to educate and create awareness about how the health of the watershed impacts the health and stability of the bay itself. Beth and John will raise $20,000 for three causes: Chesapeake Bay Foundation, American Diabetes Association, and Johns Hopkins Pediatric Oncology Division.
