Question:

How long do these plants last? Are they fairly easy to take care of?

Answer:

This wonderful Redwood Forest Bonsai plant could last 20-80 years, depending on the growing conditions and care. To keep the plant thriving for that long, it will need to be replanted in larger pots, or in the ground, as it grows. Like any plant we recommend keeping them warm, moist, and fertilized properly. The Dawn Redwood variety chosen for you is especially quickly growing & easily maintained. There are many resources on how to care for your bonsai plants, including books and websites. If you are interested, we can recommend a couple good tutorials and books about growing Dawn Redwood bonsai plants.
